Legal & Compliance Requirements in South Africa
SANS 10400 & SANS 10139 apply to buildings over 30m high or 5,000m² in floor area.
Only SAQCC-registered professionals may install and service fire detection systems.
Six-monthly servicing is required under SANS 10139:2021.
